What you get

Built for decisions on the water.

01

Four days ahead

Significant wave height every three hours up to 96 hours, from the latest ECMWF wave run.

02

Period and direction

Peak period and the direction the waves come from — a 1 m swell at 10 s is not a 1 m chop at 4 s.

03

Honest about distance

Each reading names the model point it stands for and how far away it is. Harbours and bays are usually calmer.

04

No invented numbers

Rivers, canals, lakes and enclosed harbours the model does not resolve get no wave value — never a guess.

05

One plan with the weather

In the Venue planner the sea state sits next to wind, gusts, rain and the event window you set.

06

Official lane kept apart

Coastal warnings from AEMET, Météo-France and other authorities stay on their own lane and always come first.

Who it is for

Six desks that read the same sea.

Marinas and port operators

Berth movements, fuel-dock and crane slots, guest-harbour arrivals.

Sailing schools and clubs

Lesson and dinghy decisions the evening before, not on the slipway.

Charter and tour boats

Departure windows and briefings guests can understand.

Water-sports centres

Paddle, kayak and SUP sessions matched to wave height and period.

Regattas and sea events

Race-day and spectator planning from T+96 down to the start.

Coastal municipalities

Beach services, waterfront events and crew briefings along the shore.

Method and limits

What the numbers are, and what they are not.

  • Source: ECMWF IFS wave model (ECWAM), 0.25° open data, CC-BY-4.0. Contains modified Copernicus/ECMWF open data.
  • Sea-state words follow the WMO code table 3700. They describe the sea; they are not a hazard band.
  • A model forecast, not an observation, not an official marine warning and not a decision to go out.
  • Only 29 curated open-water places get a reading. Every other marina says why it does not.
